Announcements
- Course calendar updated
on April 23rd. We are going to have some extra lectures, to make up for the
lectures that we lost. The first of these extra classes is scheduled on April
24th, from 11 am to 12 noon. During this class (on April 24th), we will first
take a look at all the updates made in the course calendar, and then continue
with the lecture on counting.
- Note that the slots/venues
of the lectures and tutorials are subject to occasional changes. Please
cross-check this with the weekly schedule that is sent over email.
- The course calendar has been
updated! Please take a look. The days of all the lectures, tutorials (with and
without submissions), and the quizzes have been marked clearly. The quizzes
will be conducted in the class itself, during the class time. Note that there
are 14 tutorial sessions -- 10 in which a submission will have to be made in
the classroom, and 4 extra ones (marked in orange in the calendar).
- We will have the
introductory lecture for this course on Tuesday, 14th Jan, at 10:00 am in
Classroom 8.
- All announcements will be
made here (urgent announcements will also be made on Teams). Please do check
this section of this page at least once every day.

Evaluation and Assessment
- Tutorial Submissions: 28 marks. You will have to make 10 tutorial submissions, each of 4 marks, of which we will count the best 7 submissions.
- Quizzes: 12 marks. There will be 3 quizzes of 6 marks each, of which we will count the best 2. The dates of the quizzes have been indicated clearly in the course calendar (above).
- Minor/Mid-term exam: 25 marks
- Major/End-term exam: 35 marks
- There will be zero
tolerance for dishonest means (including attendance proxy/fraud, copying or
sharing solutions in quizzes/exams/assignments, use of mobile phones or other
prohibited gadgets, etc.). Offenders will secure an F grade for themselves
straight away.
