• We will be using Piazza for all course related discussion. Here is the signup link, and the access code is col7037203.
  
• Gradescope will be used for grading of quizzes and exams. Please enrol yourself to the course on gradescope; the entry code is 8DPBV4.

Evaluation and Assessment

• Quizzes (40 marks): We will conduct 5 surprize quizzes of 10 marks each. If your attendance is less than 75 percent, we will count the worst 4 out of these 5, else we will count the best 4 out of these 5. If you miss a quiz, we will assign you the marks for that quiz by appropriately scaling your marks from the next exam (minor/major).
  
  
• Minor exam (25 marks): If you miss the minor exam, we will scale your major exam marks to calculate your marks for the minor. This, of course, is subject to submission of a valid IITD medical certificate. There won't be a re-minor.
  
  
• Major exam (35 marks): The syllabus for the major exam will include everything that is covered in the entire course. A re-major exam will be held, if necessary.
  
  
• Grading: We will adopt a relative grading scheme.
  
  
• Pass and Audit Pass criteria: You need to obtain 30 marks or more in order to pass the course. For an audit pass, you need at least 75 percent attendance and at least 60 marks in the course.
  
  
• If you are found guilty of an academic integrity violation (which includes wrongful marking of attendance), you will be summarily awarded an F.
